LOCATION: Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home - Willow Street

Charles F. Snyder Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc. has been proudly serving Lancaster County since 1947.  We operate out of 7 locations that encompass the entirety of the County.  We have our original location at 414 E King St. Lancaster that Charles “Charlie” F. Snyder, Sr. opened in 1947.  When Charles “Chip” F. Snyder, Jr. took over for his father, he made the move into Millersville at 441 N. George St., Millersville, PA 17551 with the acquisition of the Bair Funeral Home in 1989.  Our third location was a newly constructed state of the art design located at 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543 in Manheim Township.  Chip and his wife Doreen put all of their love into the community and were able to construct the largest funeral home in the area at the time and it remains that today.  The Lititz Pike location is also where we operate two onsite crematories which ensures your loved one never leaves our care. We then committed to the Lititz community further with the acquisition of the longstanding Spacht Funeral Home, located at 127 S. Broad St., Lititz, PA 17543 in 2015.  Charles F. Snyder Funeral Homes, now on to the 3rd generation with Charles “Chad” F. Snyder, III then ventured into Strasburg in 2019 with the acquisition of the Bachman Funeral Home located at 7 S. Decatur St., Strasburg, PA 17579.  This is the oldest continually operated family-owned Funeral Home and registered business in the United States founded in 1769.  We felt it was important to keep the business family-owned and maintain the history of the Bachman Funeral Home and its legacy in Strasburg. 2022 was a busy year for Charles F. Snyder Funeral Homes, we completed construction of our 6th location, our newest Funeral Home & Crematory located at 2421 Willow Street Pk., Willow Street, PA 17854. In this same year we also acquired two additional funeral home properties, The Andrew T. Scheid Funeral Homes located at 121-131 S. Prince St., Lancaster, PA 17603 and 321 Blue Rock Rd., Millersville, PA 17551.  121-131 S. Prince St. is currently under planning and preconstruction in which it will become a full-service event venue in a historically architectural Beaux Arts stone mansion located in downtown Lancaster. This location will be called Rhoads Mansion and is centrally located in Lancaster City with off street parking and walkability to The Fulton Theater, Central Market, The Marriott, Southern Market and all of the downtown restaurants. We are designing it to become an event space to accommodate Celebration of Life, Funeral Luncheons with food and beverage to wedding rehearsals and weddings to corporate events. The 320 Blue Rock Rd. Millersville location was renovated and is now the current home of Heritage Monuments, a bronze and monument company in Lancaster County. In this same location we also own a company called Cremation Services of Pennsylvania, Inc.

The Chamber mixer is being hosted in our brand-new state-of-the-art Funeral Home & Crematory located at 2421 Willow Street Pk., Willow Street, PA 17584.  The new location is a 12,500 sq. ft. funeral home that sits on 3 beautifully landscaped acres with over 150 parking spots located in the heart of Willow Street, nestled directly across from the Double Tree.  We felt that the Willow Street community was underserved as there was no funeral home in the area.  Chip Snyder had a dream to one day bring his personal care for each family he serves to the community of Willow Street and his son, Chad Snyder, was able to make that dream a reality with construction of the new, beautiful facility which was completed in 2022.  This Funeral Home offers spacious parking, 3 beautiful chapels and an industry leading on-site Crematory.  This Funeral Home was created with the community in mind and we feel it is the perfect place to celebrate the life of a loved one. We serve all faiths, cultures, and honor each with dignity and respect.

Please come and join us as we host the Lancaster Chamber mixer on June 15, 2023. There will be food, beverages, and great networking. And tours of our new space including the crematory.

Thank you to our host!
