What to Expect!

Learn how to navigate your own career goals and interests through the advice and expertise of experienced professionals in Lancaster County. Lunch with Leaders creates the space to engage in conversations with four different local community leaders, rotating from one table of young professionals to another over lunch. Make critical connections, ask burning questions, and discover valuable lessons learned over the course of their careers. It’s basically speed mentoring!

What is the Young Professionals Network?

The Lancaster Chamber's Young Professionals Network (YPN) engages, equips, and empowers young professionals (YPs) to be collaborative leaders and effective business professionals shaping the future of our community.

The YPN program offers growth and development for a community of YPs across Lancaster County interested in expanding their network, enhancing leadership skills, and increasing community knowledge to thrive in the workplace.

February Leaders

Salena J. Coachman, Armstrong World Industries

Salena serves as the VP Talent Sustainability, Diversity & Inclusion for Armstrong World Industries. Salena is responsible for development and execution of programs and processes in support of the company’s Talent Sustainability (People Pillar) goals, working with the HR and Sustainability teams, company leadership and employees broadly, as well as the communities in which Armstrong’s people live, work, heal, learn and play. She serves on several boards and committees in Lancaster County. 

Salena studied English and Vocal and Performing Arts at the University of Texas at Arlington and later transferred to the University of Houston. She enjoys life to the fullest enjoying her family, traveling, cooking, and as a fitness enthusiast. 

Suzi Meyer, Rock Lititz

 Versatility and creative problem solving have been the foundation of Suzi Meyer’s career. As the Campus General Manager of Rock Lititz, Suzi overseas the business and operations, while bringing insight and care to those she leads. Getting her start in residence life, Suzi earned a BS in Psychology from Penn State and an MS in Student Affairs Administration from Shippensburg University, before making the switch to live entertainment. She served several years as Accounting and HR Director at ATOMIC Lighting before finding her home at Rock Lititz. The 96-acre live event campus includes one-of-a-kind rehearsal facilities, unique, multi-tenant space that dozens of leading live event companies call home, a hotel open to both public and crews, and the campus is still growing. The dedicated team at Rock Lititz aims to maintain an environment that promotes collaboration, creativity, support, designed to encourage passion and community within the industry.

Milzy Carrasco, City of Lancaster

Milzy Carrasco serves as the inaugural Director of Neighborhood Engagement for the City of Lancaster, and was appointed by Mayor Sorace in 2018. She brings with her a passion for sustainable community development while fostering inclusion and equity for all Lancastrians. She uses her passion, experiences, and skills to ensure that Lancaster’s neighborhoods are diverse, vibrant places where relationships can grow and thrive.

Kevin Ressler, United Way

Kevin M. Ressler was named United Way of Lancaster County’s President and CEO effective January 2, 2020. Over the past 3 years, he has worked internally to update processes and policies to fit current perspectives on how we work as a society. This focus led to modernizing PA 211 East’s digital tools, expanding the vision of VITA, created award winning online news publication OneUnitedLancaster.com. Because of the timing he joined the organization, he had to learn the organization while facing the COVID19 pandemic for community response through programs like Project SOS and Lancaster CARES which raised just under $1.5 million and distributed 100% of proceeds to individuals and organizations in need.

Prior to joining United Way, Ressler was Executive Director of Meals on Wheels of Lancaster. 
In his five years leading Meals on Wheels, Ressler lead a team to build upon nearly 50 years of established practice, expanding service offerings and improving the quality and consistency of service. Under his leadership, Meals on Wheels expanded their mission’s focus to concentrate on impact rather than output numbers while increasing volunteer and donor support. They also consolidated and merged other Meals on Wheels programs to streamline workflow and ensure longevity and sustainability. Meals on Wheels serves more than 1,000 community members with 180,000+ meals by coordinating more than 40,000 volunteer hours with an average of 375 monthly volunteers.

Ressler has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Eastern Mennonite University and earned a Masters of Divinity from Lancaster Theological Seminary. His volunteer work includes board and committee work as Board Chair of Everence Federal Credit Union, Vice Board Chair of Partnership for Public Health, at large member of Landis Quality Living, UPMC Lititz Hospital, United Way of Pennsylvania, Conestoga Valley Education Foundation, and community steering committees including Hunger Free Lancaster County and the Lancaster County Homelessness Coalition. He previously served as Board President of Meals on Wheels of Lancaster and former Vice Chair of ASSETS Lancaster. He, his wife, and two daughters reside in Lancaster City.
