What is the Lancaster Chamber's Roundtable Program?

Roundtables foster meaningful peer-to-peer connection and discussion in an invigorating and confidential environment. Roundtables are designed to encourage participants to exchange insight, offer feedback, and express challenges they're facing in their position or organization while cultivating a valuable network. Roundtable sessions include the option to host a presenter or educational component at meetings to introduce best practices or address relevant issues. Roundtable content discussions are guided by a select group of Co-Chairs in partnership with a Lancaster Chamber staff member. 

Effective Organizational Communication

Again and again, communication is identified as an area that needs improvement within organizations. Why is effective communication difficult for so many? Could it be differences in individual communication styles? Or is it the fact that we don’t physically interact with every department or individual within our company or non-profit? Is a lack of organizational clarity and team cohesiveness to blame? How do strained relationships impact communication efforts? This session is designed to address these challenges and identify how you can communicate effectively within your organization, across departments, and amidst differing perspectives.

Meet the speaker:

Gina Breslin, Partner, North Group Consultants

Gina Breslin is a partner with North Group Consultants and has been employed with the firm since 2010. Gina holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education from Eastern Mennonite University. She grew up in a family business of successful diversified holdings and had varied responsibilities through which she learned the team insights, intuitive decision-making, and entrepreneurial spirit that propels businesses forward. Gina is a 2014 graduate of Leadership Lancaster and a certified facilitator in Everything DiSC^® Workplace. In 2021, Gina was recognized as a Woman of Influence by the Central Penn Business Journal. She serves on the Board of Jubilee Ministries and the Strategic Planning Team at Neffsville Mennonite Church. In her free time, you’ll find Gina playing field hockey, trying to find that perfect tea latte, or, along with her husband, Mark, enthusiastically supporting their children at sporting events.

Tim Heist, Consultant, North Group

Tim Heist is a consultant on the North Group Consultants team with a passion for walking alongside others to support their success. With 14 years of organizational leadership experience, Tim enjoys assembling high functioning teams, creating and building culture, and formulating leadership structures that ensure success for all team members. Tim grew up in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Student Ministry & Pastoral Counseling from the University of Valley Forge. Most recently, Tim served as the Lead Student Ministry Pastor and Teaching Team Pastor at Timberline Church in Fort Collins, Colorado. He also coached soccer at Fort Collins High School. Tim now coaches soccer with Keystone F.C. In his free time, Tim enjoys traveling with his wife, Melissa, exploring new restaurants, adventuring with their pup Eliza, hitting the gym, fly fishing, and nearly any activity outside with friends.
